Welcome to the Irish Colleges Golf Association website. The Heritage

The ICGA is in place to encourage competitive golfers to continue to practice and pursue their chosen sport while in College and University. The ICGA offers these young golfers the opportunity to play golf to a very high standard while pursuing their studies. Universities and Colleges from throughout the entire island of Ireland compete in the ICGA Bus Eireann intervarsity league. The intervarsity competition is scratch match-play, each team consisting of five players for men and three players for ladies

The Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies Golf Union (ILGU) support the ICGA. 

The ICGA is also extremely grateful to Bus Eireann for their support and  sponsorship. According to Bus Eireann student travel represents a  significant element within the public transport business and theyre  pleased to be able to support student activities through the ICGA.

2008 2009 League Fixtures and Results are posted in our results section. 1st round results are now due. Get your games played on time and in order.

2008 2009 season started with a singles strokeplay event at The Heritage Golf Club, Killinard, Co Laois, on Monday and Tuesday 27th and 28th October. Eddie Stack, UCC and Danielle McVeigh NUI Maynooth are the inter-varsity strokeplay champions 2008. Congratulations to both players. Over three rounds of tough competition they came out in the gold medal positions. Silver medals went to Jack Owens, UU and Sarah Cunningham NUI Maynooth, while the bronze medals were awarded to Chris Drumm NUI Maynooth and Lucy Simpson NUI Maynooth. The mens team event was won by University of Ulster and the ladies team event was won by NUI Maynooth.
