The Irish Colleges Golf Association is looking for a sponsor to champion our activities. This is an ideal opportunity for an organisation interested in helping the development of young golf talent in Ireland.

Welcome to the Irish Colleges Golf Association website.

The ICGA is in place to encourage competitive golfers to continue to practice and pursue their chosen sport while in College and University. The ICGA offers these young golfers the opportunity to play golf to a very high standard while pursuing their studies. Universities and Colleges from throughout the entire island of Ireland compete in the ICGA intervarsity league. The intervarsity competition is scratch match-play, each team consisting of five players for men and three players for ladies

The Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies Golf Union (ILGU) support the ICGA.

2008 2009 League Finals took place at Glasson Golf Hotel on Sunday and Monday 29th and 30th March 2009.

University of Ulster are 5 man league champions. They overcame a gallant UCD in the finals. Cork IT picked up the bronze medal after a titanic struggle with UCC.

NUI Maynooth won the ladies event from University of Limerick, with Cork IT once again picking up the bronze medal. N

NUI Maynooth are Shield Champions, winning on the second extra tie hole from UCC.

In the ladies individual event NUI Maynooth Aedin Murphy's excellent score over two rounds made her convincing champion. Ciara Bulter, NUI Maynooth won the silver medal and CatherineTucker the bronze medal.
